Gwydir River Run holds two annual events per year at the Bingara Showgrounds. They are a Stockman’s Challenge in March and a Cattle Dog Trial in September. Each year the committee selects a charity that they raise money for over a 12 month period and this year Ronald McDonald House was selected. The committee decided on this charity as some of their members have recently had to use the services provided and living a good 6 hours away, Ronald McDonald House gave the families great security while a loved one was facing major surgery. Over the course of 12 months these caps along with an Auction will be held where all proceeds raised will go direct to Ronald McDonald House.
